Western Industries proposed to build a shopping mall and an additional
department store and parking decks to connect two separate and
free-standing department stores, Orbachs and Fortunoffs, on Old Country
Road, Westbury, New York. The design featured an enormous glass
window wall opening to view the three-level atrium to passing
motorists.
