Prior Professional History: Mr. Gura embarked on his architectural/development career as
an apprentice for A.W. Geller + Associates, where he was involved in a variety of projects ranging
from the design of a Michell/Lama Housing to corporate headquarters around the world for Investors
Overseas Services (IOS), and research into modular housing through the Government's Operation Breakthrough
Program. Mr. Gura's additional experience with other firms such as John Carl Warnecke and Associates,
Smotrich and Platt, et al, includes schools, telephone buildings, resort communities and housing.
Mr. Gura acted as Project Architect for the renovation of the Delaware and Hudson/Times Journal Building
in Albany, NY, a 126,000 sf multi-million dollar project which currently houses the State
University of NY. This project received national attention when it won an award for Design Excellence
and Energy Conservation from the Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corporation.
A Dean's List honor student at SUNY Farmingdale, Mr. Gura received an Associates Degree in Construction
Technology. Mr. Gura earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kent State University, where honors
he received included the Design Award of the City of Akron, Ohio.
